Service Description
While
Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) are frequently used within governmental
organizations, increasingly they are employed in the commercial arena as well.
Where an EOC is warranted, CPOCS can further refine the operations plan for EOC
use. Additionally, CPOCS will assist a firm or agency revamp or launch an
emergency operations center and test its processes and capabilities.
An (EOC) is ordinarily a temporary function that becomes operational in
emergency situations requiring a coordinated and controlled organizational
response. It may be activated in many different configurations, staffing
levels, and environments, as determined by the event that has occurred; the
impact on the organization; and, the resources available. EOCs typically are
located in centralized command and control facilities. However increasingly
today they are apt to have a large virtual element as well.
